Building cleaning procedure
A shopping mall or newly constructed building (Post-Construction Cleaning) has the following cleaning sequence:
1. Initial Preparation (Preparation)
Preparing cleaning supplies and equipment
Wearing safety gear (gloves, mask, shoes)
Preparing an electrical and water condition survey
Preparing trash and containers
2. Removing dirt and debris (Rough Cleaning)
Dispose of or recycle construction waste (wood, cement, waste plastic)
Picking up large trash
Removing window and door covers from aluminum foil
3. Top to Bottom Cleaning
Ceiling cleaning – dust, stone
Cleaning lights, fans, AC vents
Cleaning walls and signs
4. Window and door cleaning
Window glass (inside & outside)
Cleaning frames, etc.
Doors, handles, etc.
5. Floor Cleaning
First sweep / vacuum
Scrubbing
The meaning of flooring varies depending on the type of floor:
Ceramic / Marble – polishing
Carpet – deep cleaning
6. Toilets & Washrooms
WC, basin, shower tray cleaning
Tap, mirror and so on
Using deodorant
7. Final / Detail Cleaning
Dust and re-clean touched areas
Removing paint and cement stains
Deodorizing
8. Final Inspection (Inspection & Handover)
Assess whether all rooms or areas are properly cleaned.
If there are any remaining areas, clean them again.
